You upload families, organize them into folders, categories, projects, and collections, preview them in 3D, keep a version history, and share them with teammates — from your browser or from inside Revit.

Yes. The Revit add-in docks inside Autodesk Revit and connects to your cloud family library. It signs you in, lets you browse categories, search families, mark favorites, and load a family straight into the open model — without hunting through network folders. You can also upload families and publish new versions without leaving Revit.

Yes. The web app is complete on its own — upload .rfa files, organize your library, view family parameters and 3D geometry, manage versions, search, share, and control workspace access all work in the browser. The add-in adds direct in-model loading and sync.

The Revit add-in supports Autodesk Revit 2022, 2023, 2024, 2025, 2026, and 2027. The web app works in any modern browser and does not depend on which Revit version you run.

The new file becomes the current version and the previous one moves into the family's version history — nothing is overwritten permanently. You can review earlier versions, see which parameters changed, download them, and roll back to any earlier version of the .rfa file. Full version history and rollback are included from the Individual plan.

Yes. Workspaces support collaborators with roles you assign and revoke. The Free plan includes 1 workspace collaborator. Individual lets you invite up to 2 collaborators per workspace. Team gives you unlimited workspace collaborators with pooled storage and seats you assign and revoke.

Start by consolidating every .rfa file from local and network folders into one library. Then apply a consistent structure: folders for broad grouping, Revit categories for discipline, tags for attributes like manufacturer or project, and collections for curated sets. Revit metadata is extracted automatically on upload and duplicates are flagged as you go, so consolidating does not just move the mess into the cloud.

Yes, and it addresses the three things a shared drive cannot do: an overwritten family is unrecoverable, anyone with folder access can delete content, and the library is only reachable on the office network. Every version is kept, access is controlled by workspace role, and the library works from anywhere.

Yes. You can upload families in batches from the web app or from the add-in, and duplicates are detected during upload so you do not end up with repeated content. Very large libraries are best moved in stages — contact us if you would like help planning it.

Yes. The Free plan includes 1 workspace and 1 project, up to 3 collections, 500 MB of storage, family upload with metadata extraction, 3D GLB preview, and 1 workspace collaborator — no credit card required. Paid plans start at $19 per month for individuals and $15 per seat per month for teams.

Family files are stored in cloud object storage on Amazon S3. Access is controlled by your workspace roles and share settings — private content is not publicly listed, and families become publicly visible only when you publish them to a public gallery. See the policies page for the full detail.
