Plans and storage

What each plan includes and how storage is counted.

Work in progress

This page is a draft. Some sections are placeholders and details may change.

There are three plans: Free, Individual and Team. Current prices and what each one includes are on the Pricing page.

The account page showing storage used

See your plan and your usage

Open General settings in the app menu, then Account:

  • Subscription shows your current plan, its billing cycle, the next charge and renewal date, and, on Team, your seats.
  • Usage shows how much storage you have used and how many AI credits are left this month, with Buy more to add capacity. Add-ons are for paid plans; the Free plan does not offer them.

A short storage line also sits at the bottom of the app menu, so you can see it without opening settings.

What counts toward storage

Storage counts everything you keep in the library:

  • the .rfa file of every version of every family, not only the current one;
  • images and videos you attach to a family, and documents attached to a collection;
  • files attached to workspace requests, and Revit models uploaded to a project.

Families in Trash still count. They stop counting when you Delete forever, or when Trash removes them after 30 days. Deleting an old version in Manage versions frees its space at once.

Content in a workspace counts against the workspace owner's plan, not against the person who uploaded it.

When you reach the limit

Once storage is full, an upload is refused with Storage quota exceeded. To upload again, free space (delete old versions, or Delete forever in Trash), move to a plan with more storage, or buy an add-on where your plan offers it.

Change or cancel your plan

Open General settings, Account, Subscription.

  • Manage plan switches between plans. On Team you also choose the number of seats. An upgrade takes effect straight away. A downgrade, a switch between monthly and yearly billing, or fewer seats takes effect at the end of the current billing period.
  • Cancel plan keeps your paid features until the end of the period you already paid for, then the account returns to Free. Resume plan undoes a cancellation before that date.

Team seats are assigned and revoked under Manage seat assignments; see Invite collaborators.

Delete your account

In General settings, Account, User preferences, choose Delete account. The account can be restored for 15 days; after that it is erased permanently. To undo the deletion while it is pending, choose Restore account.

TODO — Confirm before publishing

  • What happens to your workspaces and to files shared with other people when you delete the account.
  • How a downgrade behaves when you are over the smaller plan's storage.
